A Little Box With Plenty of Power
As with every console, much of the buzz surrounds the specs. The Wii boasts 512 MB of internal flash memory, two USB 2.0 ports, and a slot for SD memory expansion.

The system’s technological heart -- a processing chip developed with IBM and code-named "Broadway" and a graphics chipset from ATI code-named "Hollywood" -- deliver stunning performance.

And instead of a tray, Wii uses a single, self-loading media bay that plays both 12-centimeter optical discs used for the new system, as well as Nintendo GameCube discs.

Revolutionary Control
No bigger than a small traditional remote control, the wireless Wii Remote is a truly multi functional device. The magic of the Wii Remote's design lies within; acellerometers inside the controller measure movement in all directions and at all speeds. In a tennis game, it serves as your racket as you swing away. In driving games it serves as a steering wheel, allowing you to swerve to avoid obstacles or pickup power-ups. In first-person shooters, it acts as a firearm that you can point directly at an on-screen enemy.

The controller also has a force feedback "Rumble" feature and an expansion port for use with accessories, such as the Nunchuck, which adds an analog thumbstick and trigger buttons. The system allows for up to four controllers to be linked at a time and utilizes standard Bluetooth wireless technology. For those who prefer the feel of a traditional controller an adapter is available that fits over the Wii's remote.

Fun For Everyone, November 9, 2009

By : Cindy
I received the Wii yesterday for my birthday and I'm way older than normal child, but I'm still a kid at heart!
I had so much fun bowling. Yippee!! I hurt my back (not with the Wii) so I couldn't play any of the other games, darn it. My little family wouldn't let me.
While I recuperate these other games are building some great anticipation. As soon as I'm feeling better, I will be playing all of the Wii Sport games and on the hunt for more fun and games!
Everyday is an adventure and the Wii just makes the adventures better!

GREAT console!, November 9, 2009

I used to bowl in leagues before my stroke and the Wii was able to bring back most of my skills. I even bowled a 279/678 in our senior's complex Wii league!

It is great!, October 30, 2009

I purchased Wii and Wii Fit Plus. I have used them everyday and I love them. My husband and I play the sports games that came with the console and it has been a lot of fun. It was easy to set up and doesn't take up much space. Once installed, it is easy to follow. It is fun and good exercise. Surprisingly, I have even enjoyed the boxing, a great workout for your arms. I would recommend it to everyone.

Finally!, October 28, 2009

I have been waiting for this product to come down in price ever since it came out. My patience finally paid off. I love playing this. I just hope that the company will consider lowering the price of their games, so far I can only afford the game that came with it. I look forward to many hours of enjoyment.

the awesome Wii, October 28, 2009

By : Morpheus (Nashville, TN)
I recently bought Wii when i finally found it for $199 on amazon and it is an amazing thing! I have played on SEGA and XBOX before this but i like Wii way more than them. Wii is so easy to use and play with. Setting up and configuring the remotes are a breeze. The games that came with it was great. I then also bought the Wii resort and i love it. My only complaint is that i can't turn the Wii console off with the remote!!! whats up with that!!! I have to manually turn it off. I don't know if it is me or the design! Other than that one little teeny wiiny thingy i love Wii. Whoever came up with the idea of Wii is a genius!
